Key Real Estate sales up 32%
The Florida Keys is heating up again.
(PressMethod) - Per Karen Quist of the Fl Keys Keynoter newspaper, The number of homes sold in the Florida Keys had jumped 32 percent from the same period in 2008
The "Road to Recovery" was the name of a Keys tourism advertising
campaign early this year. But it's a label that could just as easily
be applied to Keys real estate in 2009. By the end of the November, the
number of homes sold in the Florida Keys had jumped 32 percent from the
same period in 2008.
A steady stream of foreclosures continued to enter the market, as the
number of those affected by loan defaults continued to mount. It's too
soon to tell whether the 8.65 percent drop in foreclosure-related filings
in November was a blip or the sign of a trend.
Key Largo Fl, January 4th, 2010, Local Key Largo Realtor, Sally Stribling remarked: This is great news for our locals as well as potential home buyers.
When asked to explain further, Sally remarked, we still have great ceals in the Keys. But there is only so much waterront property available so with the current low rates, this is definitely a time for buyers to consider the Keys for their vacation home.
